Scran episode 3: Master blender Rachel Barrie's guide to whisky tasting

Listen to episode three of Scran, the podcast that champions Scottish food and drink.

This week Scran is whisky-themed, and we have our first studio tasting session.

Host and Scotsman food and drink writer Rosalind Erskine chats to Rachel Barrie, master blender for BenRiach, Glenglassaugh and Glendronach distilleries.

Rachel talks about her 20+ years in the industry, what it was like being one of the first female master blenders, and what may surprise some people about her job.

Rachel and Rosalind then taste two whiskies - after finding out what Rachel's 'desert island drams' would be - and discuss how they were made and what fans can expect when trying them.
