The Glenturret distillery in Crieff has opened a luxurious self-catering house, available for exclusive use.

The Glenturret distillery, whose restaurant was awarded Two Michelin Stars earlier this year, has refurbished the former Dower House of the Murray Clan, who founded The Glenturret over 260 years ago.

The six bedroom home is now available for exclusive hire, and is within walking distance of the distillery and award-winning restaurant.

With open fires, fine furnishings, an Aga, a formal dining room with a cocktail bar, guests can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Guests staying at Aberturret Estate House also have preferential access (subject to availability) at The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant, the first of its kind worldwide.

For those who seek a more intimate dining experience within the comfort of the home, private catering can be arranged.

Four king size and two double ensuite bedrooms have been thoughtfully designed featuring a mix of bespoke furniture, antique pieces, Egyptian cotton bedlinen and Lovat Mill throws.

Artwork has been provided by The Fine Arts Society Edinburgh, dating back to the 1800’s with artists such as Joseph Farquharson, Edward Arthur Walton, George Harvey and Sir Edwardo Paolozzi. All art on display is available to purchase.

Silvio Denz, Chairman of the Lalique Group said: “I am proud we can breathe new life into this classic Scottish estate house entwined with all the history of the Murray clan.

"Aberturret Estate House is perfectly situated a short walk to The Glenturret, its 2 Michelin Star Restaurant and world class shopping at the Lalique boutique nestled in the heart of this ancient distillery.
