Arbikie is one of the world’s leading sustainable distillers and distils Nàdar, the world’s first climate-positive gin and the world’s first Rye Scotch Whisky, Highland Rye.
Their distillery experience initially offers three tours and tastings focusing on whisky, gin and vodka and cocktail making.
Inside the 1,000 square foot building overlooking the stunning Lunan Bay there is a retail shop, cafe and cocktail bar which offer a range of expertly crafted food and drinks for people to enjoy the full family of Arbikie spirits.
The Arbikie team are looking forward to welcoming guests from across the world to the distillery which is within two hours from Glasgow, one and a half hours from Edinburgh and one hour from Aberdeen by train, bus or car.
Arbikie Estate is a family-owned working farm distillery that grows all the ingredients for the spirits, including barley, wheat, juniper, lemongrass and chillies - following their field-to-bottle ethos.
When the Stirling brothers opened Arbikie Distillery in 2014, their plan was to combine the best of farming and traditional distilling with innovation.
Over the last few years, it has become very clear to them and all the Arbikie team that their focus is to: “make Arbikie one of the world’s most sustainable distilleries.”
Guests will witness the business's sustainable journey first-hand by immersing themselves in their true field-to-bottle experiences at the newly expanded brand home.
Starting in the fields where the spirit journey begins, guests will learn how Arbikie distils from scratch using a full range of homegrown crops.
They will also learn how Arbikie distilled Nàdar, the world’s first climate positive gin and vodka, and how they revived the first Scottish Rye Whisky in nearly 200 years.
Arbikie Director, John Stirling, said: "With the pandemic, our new Distillery Experience has been a long time in the works.
"But it’s given us the time to really focus on how we can show the public our field-to-bottle approach and why sustainable spirits are so important.
"We look forward to welcoming paying guests, both international and local as we anticipate a busy tourism season with the return of the Edinburgh Festival, Open Golf, Wimbledon and other major events across Scotland and the UK”.
Arbikie distillery experience tickets start from £20, which includes a 60-minute tour and drams/cocktails (tickets are not required to access the bar, café or shop).
