The new outlet has been earmarked for the Strathkelvin Retail Park in the Bishopbriggs area of the city and will open on the 6th December 2017.

This is the fourth Tim Hortons store to be opened in the UK and the third in Glasgow following the launch of the Argyle Street and Silverburn venues earlier this year.

The brand say the new opening will continue their nationwide rollout plan with further locations across the country to be revealed over the next couple of months.

The new Tim Hortons will create a number of jobs in the area, with a wide range of roles on offer, anyone looking to apply can contact the business using the email careers@timhortons.co.uk.

Founded by its namesake, a top professional Canadian ice hockey player, Tim Hortons is now one of Canada’s most iconic brands, with nearly eight out of 10 cups of coffee sold across Canada served by the chain and more than 5.3 million Canadians – approximately 15 per cent of the population – visiting one a Tim Hortons café daily.

The move to the UK has seen Tim Hortons bring its signature coffee, classic frozen Iced Capp drink and the now  famous Timbits, bite-sized doughnuts which come in a variety of flavours.

Customers can also enjoy a range of baked goods and breakfast and lunch items "made to order from quality ingredients".

Kevin Hydes, chief finance and commercial officer of the Tim Hortons franchise in the UK said: “We’re thrilled to announce we’re opening in Strathkelvin Retail Park following the success of our other Glasgow openings.

"It’s a fantastic city and shares similar values with Tim Hortons – a strong sense of community and friendly culture. We knew the UK loved its great coffee and delicious, freshly made food, but the excitement we’ve seen for Tim Hortons has beaten all of our expectations.
