Popular Glasgow restaurant announces shock closure

The street food restaurant, located in the city centre, is set to close by the end of the month. But it won't be gone forever

Babu Bombay Street Kitchen, which started as a street food stall and moved to permanent premises on West Regent Street in 2013, is set to close for good at the end of this month.

The restaurant, which specialises in Bombay street food, including home style curries, roti and chai, announced the shock closure on their Facebook page saying: "It's the end of an era...Babu's West Regent st shop will sadly be closing its doors at the end of the month."

Jenn May added: "terribly sad to hear this 🙁😢😭 but best of luck with future plans."
