Edinburgh Gin is set to release its new Raspberry Gin Fizz – sparkling wine and raspberry liqueur in a ready-to-drink can - in Tesco and Sainsbury's stores.

The brand has also created a special, supersized ‘Neighbourhood Pack’ to be delivered to streets throughout the country who have shown the greatest community spirit throughout the coronavirus crisis.

From picking up groceries, to celebrating big birthdays, one silver lining of the pandemic has been the widespread increase in kind deeds and positivity within communities.

How to nominate a deserving street

Recognising these efforts, Edinburgh Gin is giving the public the chance to nominate a deserving community to receive one of these limited-edition packs for free.

Each pack includes 24 cans of Raspberry Gin Fizz, doorstep gift bags and postcards that carry messages of thanks.

The packs have been specifically designed to allow neighbours to share and toast with one another from the safety of their own gardens, balconies or front doors, with a ready-to-drink format that’s easy to enjoy while observing social distancing.

To receive a limited-edition Neighbourhood Pack, Edinburgh Gin is asking people to nominate their community via the brand's online channels, sharing an example of a good deed.

A select number will also be available to purchase on the website, priced at £20 for 12 or £40 for 24.

“Everyday acts of kindness are all around us and they deserve to be celebrated in some way," said Neil Boyd, UK managing director of Ian Macleod Distillers, who own Edinburgh Gin.

“We realised that as well as being a great celebratory cocktail, our new Raspberry Gin Fizz cans offer a safer way for people to enjoy a drink from a distance.

“That’s why we wanted to give the best of Britain the chance to raise a can with one another before its official release, to recognise their incredible contributions over the last few months.”

To help spread joy over lockdown, the brand has also been including packs of positivity postcards with every online order.

The cards, which feature a range of positive messages designed to lift spirits, are perfect to stick up on noticeboards, fridge doors or to use as a bookmark.
