Scotland's National Chef Gary Maclean to release Scottish Kitchen cookbook

The new cook book has a foreword from Outlander's Sam Heughan who said: ‘On every page of this book, I was transported back to Scotland’

Scottish Kitchen is the new cookbook from multi-award-winning chef Gary Maclean.

Serving up a collection of recipes celebrating Scotland’s best cuisines and traditions, Scottish Kitchen travels through history to the present day.

From the 1930s delicacy of the Glasgow Macaroon to the rich fruitiness of the classic sixteenth-century Dundee Cake, there are over 100 recipes alongside stunning photography that will inspire readers to utilise Scotland’s sought-after produce and create distinctive dishes.

The easy-to-follow recipes include a twist on comfort-food favourites like mince and tatties and something fresher, such as Gary's venison salad.

With Gary’s flair for flavour and hands-on approach, this collection takes traditional recipes and remodels them for everyone to enjoy.
