New restaurant Gautam’s brings a taste of the Himalayas to Edinburgh's city centre

A new family run restaurant is aiming to bring a taste of the Himalayas to Edinburgh's city centre.

Gautam’s is located in Meadowbank and offers a range of Nepalese and Indian dishes created by chefs who have over 50 years of experience collectively having previously worked in some of the top hotels hotels in Kathmandu and India.

Guests can enjoy Nepalese dishes like Gau' Ko Kukhuro, Malekhu Ko Macha Pakora and Himalayan Hot Pot alongside traditional Indian dishes like Korma, Bhuna and Karahi.

Gautam’s is also offering a delivery service through their own website, JustEat, Deliveroo, and UberEats.

Owner Khima Nanda Gautam said: ‘"We are extremely excited to open our first family restaurant right here in Edinburgh. This restaurant is the product of years of hard work and planning from my dad and uncle and as a family we have decided to dedicate everything that we know to this place."
