A stylish new coffee shop has opened in Glasgow’s west end and it’s not just a space for a hot drink and pastry.
Paragon Coffee Club x Paragon Modern Barbering will be the first of its kind in the city, combining a coffee with the expert grooming the Paragon brand has become known for in Glasgow.
Located in Glasgow’s West End on Great Western Road, the new space is designed to impress, with bespoke joinery, high-spec finishes, reclaimed wood panelling and stained glass, creating a warm atmosphere that’s as photogenic as it is welcoming.
At the front of the space, Paragon Coffee Club will serve a rotating menu of specialty drinks, from flat whites to trendy matcha lattes, alongside a selection of artisan cakes and pastries served fresh daily.
The café is partnering with cult London roasters Dark Arts Coffee, known for their bold roasting style and strong independent ethos.
Behind the café, the new Paragon Modern Barbering space will be home to four experienced barbers, offering the same high-calibre service, style and attention to detail that made the original Paragon location popular. There’s also a small bar serving whiskies and drinks.
This launch marks the second site for Paragon, and the brand’s first foray into the coffee space. Paragon, which has a city centre location, has built a reputation in the city’s creative barbering scene.
Founder Tommy Taylor, who launched Paragon in 2023, says the new concept was inspired by a desire to create a hub for both socialising and self-care.
He said: “With Paragon Coffee Club, I wanted to create a space that feels stylish but relaxed, a hub in the heart of the West End where people can connect, enjoy great coffee, and experience something a bit different.
“The combined concept reflects how people live now, we’re all looking for quality, style and connection in the places we spend time.
”We have worked closely to design the space to create a thoughtful and seamless customer journey blending two completely separate spaces under one roof and we’re delighted to now be able to offer clients the opportunity to enjoy world class barbering as well as artisan coffee daily.”
