It will be the brand's seventh opening in Scotland and follows the launch of outlets in Hamilton, East Kilbride, Glasgow and Dunfermline.
The eatery will be opening near Whitletts Roundabout in Ayr at 12pm on 19 February, with normal opening times running from Monday to Sunday, 6am to 11pm.
Tim Hortons, which was founded by the top Canadian ice hockey player of the same name, say the opening continues their nationwide rollout plan with more locations across the country to be revealed over the coming months.
A range of new jobs will be created for the area, with anyone interested in applying being asked to contact careers@timhortons.co.uk by email.
On the day of launch, the first 100 people in the queue will be treated to a free lunch combo, including any sandwich or wrap with potato wedges and a small brewed coffee, steeped tea or fruit cooler, once the doors open at midday and the first person in the queue will be gifted with a VIP coffee card, entitling them to a year’s supply of free coffee.
The first Tim Hortons restaurant in the UK opened on Argyle Street in Glasgow at the start of June 2017.
Met with lots of excitement, guests traveled from across the country and queued overnight to be the first to sample the brand’s popular coffee and baked goods including their now famous Timbits.
One of Canada’s most popular brands, nearly eight out of 10 cups of coffee sold across the country are served at Tim Hortons and more than 5.3 million Canadians – approximately 15 per cent of the population – visit the café daily.
The move to the UK has seen Tim Hortons bring its signature coffee, classic frozen Iced Capp drink and the now famous Timbits, bite-sized doughnuts which come in a variety of flavours. Customers can also enjoy a range of baked goods and breakfast and lunch items “made to order from quality ingredients”.
Kevin Hydes, chief finance and commercial officer of the Tim Hortons franchise in the UK said: “We’re excited to be bringing our expansion to the beautiful town of Ayr this month – our seventh store in Scotland.
"The buzz we’ve seen since our first opening in Glasgow last summer has exceeded all expectations and we can’t wait to open our doors and welcome Guests from the Ayr community at our brand new restaurant on 19 February”.
