Glasgow Cocktail Weekend announces ticket sale date and new 'cocktail kingdom'

Glasgow’s biggest and best cocktail event is returning to the city for 2019 over September weekend and tickets go on sale today (31 May)

Set to be even bigger than last year, Glasgow Cocktail Weekend (GCW) will once again bring together Glasgow’s finest venues, delicious drinks, exciting parties and even bigger events to celebrate cocktails over four days - Thursday 26 – Sunday 29 September.

Festival ticket holders will have access to special menus across the city in over 30+ bars for over 100 unlimited discounted £5 cocktails.

Official venues include names such as: the exotic basement oasis of Tiki on Bath St, dive bar The Dam in Merchant City, the sophisticated surroundings of So.LA and Finnieston favourite Rioja in the West End

New for 2019 is the Cocktail Kingdom located in the Argyle Street Arches. Ticket holders will be able to a two and a half hour session in the Cocktail Kingdom, which will include tastings, cocktail samples from pop up bars and masterclasses.

As well as this there will be street food available plus live music and a cocktail lounge to relax in.

Glasgow Cocktail Weekend

There are two tickets on offer this year.

The Cocktail Explorer: priced at £5  this ticket gives access to 100 unlimited £5 cocktails in venues across Glasgow.

All Access GCW: priced at £10 and offers the unlimited £5 cocktails at participating venues as well as access to a session at the Cocktail Kingdom with ten free cocktail samples, bartending masterclass, access to the cocktail lounge and exclusive invites to events.

Organised by award-winning Scottish communications consultancy Moir Media, the festival aims to showcase Glasgow’s best bars and bartenders to create an incredible cocktail event that channels the energy and charisma of the city.
