Boë to release new apple and lime gin - here's where you can buy it

Boë is set to release a new flavoured gin and it's ideal for summer.

Boë has recently launched a new Apple and Lime full strength gin, which is now available in Tesco stores throughout Scotland, select bars and across the UK online.

The flavours have been designed to suit a range of gin mixers - from lemonade, to soda or tonic.

With flavoured gin now making up 33 per cent of the overall category, the team hope that the vibrant green addition to the market will make a splash at (socially distant) picnics and back-garden soirees this summer.

What does it taste like?

Boë Apple and Lime blends notes of crisp green apple, and the spice of the Boë premium Scottish Dry Gin, with a kick of zesty lime to tie it all together.

Director at Boë Gin, Carlo Valente, said: “We know that the modern drinker loves to be adventurous with flavours – and this new gin presents the perfect opportunity to get creative.

“We dissected the botanicals that were in our gin to see how we could bind the fruit and spice notes with an unusual flavour note in gin – green apples.

"After some experimentation, we found that lime citrus was the perfect component to balance the flavours together and top off that stunning green colour.

“We’ve heard so many times from our consumers that they prefer gin with something other than tonic and this inspired us to create a modern flavour that would complement a range of mixers.”

Jill Sutherland, Tesco Scotland buying manager said: “We are really proud of the work we do to bring our customers a wide range of fantastic Scottish suppliers; so, it is very exciting that Boë is bringing forward a new gin flavour in time for summer.

"We hope our customers love it.”
