Quality Street and John Lewis have teamed up to solve one of Christmas‘ biggest problems.

Every family has their favourite chocolates which all get gobbled up within minutes of the tin being opened, while the less popular sweets left languishing at the bottom for weeks.

But now you will be able to pick and mix your very own tin. Love the green triangle? You can have dozens of them. Hate the strawberry and orange creams? Leave them behind.

End arguments over the Quality Street tin for good

The customisable tins will cost £12, and be available in 11 John Lewis stores across the UK from 21 September to 23 December.

The catch is that you can’t fill your tin with just one variety, you have to choose at least four of the 13 available.

In John Lewis’ flagship Oxford Street store, you will also be able to customise the tin itself, swapping the ‘Quality’ in Quality Street out for a name of your choice. This will cost an extra £3.

The 12 Quality Street varieties:

The Purple One: Milk chocolate filled with hazelnut and caramel (purple wrapper)

Green Triangle: Hazelnut noisette (green foil wrapper)

Chocolate Toffee Finger (gold wrapper)

Strawberry Delight (red wrapper)

Caramel Swirl (yellow foil wrapper)

Milk Choc Block (green wrapper)

Orange Crunch (orange foil wrapper)

Orange Creme (orange wrapper)

Fudge (pink wrapper)

Coconut Eclair (blue wrapper)

Toffee Penny (gold wrapper)

Honeycomb Crunch (golden brown wrapper)

Toffee Deluxe (brown wrapper)

A spokesperson for John Lewis told inews: “From September John Lewis will partner with iconic confectioners Quality Street to offer customers bespoke tins of their favourite sweets.

“John Lewis Oxford Street will be home to an exclusive personalisation station, giving customers the chance to personalise the street name on their tin, as well as pick and mix their own flavour combinations – a high street first for Quality Street.”
