Edinburgh-based Old Curiosity Distillery launches dedicated Gin Club

An Edinburgh-based distillery, which recently launched the UK's first working gin botanical garden, is set to offer gin lovers the chance to sample a brand new and exclusive gin flavour every month with the launch of a dedicated ‘Gin Club’.

When members join the new club by the Old Curiosity Distillery, they will receive a special box at the beginning of each month that will include a unique, limited edition 20cl gin - created especially for Club members and unavailable from retailers – as well as the perfect mixer and a freshly-picked garnish.

The team at the distillery, which can be found at the Secret Herb Garden on the Old Pentland Road, said that discounts and invites to special events will also be available for those sign up.

Each monthly gin will have a unique, seasonal twist, such as a Spooky Black Mallow flavour for October and a festive, Christmas Spice for December.

Kicking off from April, the first Gin Club offering is Hot Pink Tulip – a dry gin infused with dark violet petals and just-flowered pink tulip.

Speaking about the first gin, a spokesperson for the brand said: "Guaranteed to impress, the beautifully packaged gin also boasts stunning colour-changing properties, changing from a beautiful bright pink to an electric deep pink when tonic is added."

All of the herbs and botanicals within the gins are grown, hand-picked, dried and infused by the team at the Secret Herb Garden – the home of The Old Curiosity Distillery.

100% natural, the gin brand say all of their products are free of chemicals, sugars and flavour compounds.

Hamish Martin, founder of The Old Curiosity, said: “Nowhere else in the world has a gin garden and distillery on site as we do here, so we’re taking full advantage of nature and the seasons in action, by continuously experimenting with our botanicals to create new, distinctive flavours and wonderful colour changes.

“We’re so excited to be able to launch a Gin Club, allowing gin fans to try these innovative flavours, as well as giving them exclusive access to a range of limited edition bottles and upcoming events. We can’t wait to meet all our new Club Members and hope everyone enjoys the first offering of the delightful Hot Pink Tulip as much as we do!”
