National Whisky Festival 2023: Dates and times for Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness and Aberdeen events

The first National Whisky Festival of 2023 will take place this month.

The National Whisky Festival of Scotland will return to Glasgow’s SWG3 on Saturday 21 January 2023 as part of Celtic Connections’ 30th Anniversary celebrations.

This year's edition of the festival’s flagship hometown event will bring together another varied line up of exhibitors from across the industry spectrum, with hundreds of whiskies available to try across each festival session.

From delicate and approachable drams to peat-powered favourites; well known core releases to brand new and hard to find editions, festival exhibitors will be on hand to inform, impress and ultimately guide beginners and enthusiasts alike as they embark on their whisky tasting journey.

The Glasgow edition of the National Whisky Festival 2023 will also feature a specially-curated bill of live music and entertainment in collaboration with Celtic Connections alongside exciting guest spirits (including gin, rum, vodka, cognac and more); cocktails by industry-leading mixologists; brewery collaborations and food vendors.

National Whisky Festival Co-ordinator Gareth Croll said: "After such an incredible year touring the country with our event in 2022, I can't wait to be back as part of Celtic Connections in January - the festival’s spiritual home.

"We are working with more whisky distilleries and musicians than ever and to share this with everyone, especially at such a cherished cultural fixture, is a dream come true. See you all at SWG3 for our biggest festival to date."

In addition, The National Whisky Festival has also announced new dates for Inverness Eden Court (Sat 1 July) and Aberdeen Music Hall (Sat 9 September) - part of exciting plans for the festival in 2023.

Tickets for all National Whisky Festival 2023 are on sale now online at the National Whisky Festival website.
