The wine bar, which has been open since late 2020 is set to be sold as owners announce closure.
Mistral opened on Bonnington Road in Leith as a wine bar in December 2020 before launching a bar and kitchen element of the business in 2021.
But now the wine bar and kitchen will close for good in March, as the premises has been sold.
Posting on their social media, the team wrote: "A little bit of news from us here in our rainy corner of Leith…
"We have taken the decision towards the end of last year to sell up and move on from Mistral. Not a decision we took lightly but essentially boiling down to where we want to be and what we want to be doing at this point in our lives, which we decided isn’t here on Bonnington Road (or the U.K. at all in fact!)
"So Saturday the 30th of March will be our last shift here before a new custodian takes over and does their thing (it’s in safe hands don’t worry, thanks to @fidra_property )
"Lots of time to say farewell in person over the coming weeks, but if we don’t get the chance to, then we want to extend a colossal thank you to everyone and anyone who has come through our doors. We’ve enjoyed our time here immensely and are proud of what we have created here, none of which would’ve been possible without great guests and loyal locals, who we will sorely miss.
So there you have it. 6 or so weeks to go, we hope to see some friendly folk in that time. Big love."
Speaking to The Scotsman in late 2021, owners Sam Barker and Julie Di Toro said of the area: "“It’s pretty cool to have the Chartroom next door and you can already see the impact it's had on a street that not many people would think of visiting a year or so ago. We've got a little strip going down Bonnington Road now, with Fox's Bar next door a karaoke favourite on the weekends too.
"It's nice to be in a little patch a bit further along from the main stretch. We think Leith has a big draw for people to come from other parts of the city for a night/day out, there's a great mix of bars, cafes, and restaurants to keep most appetites happy."
