After a two year break, the team behind Summerhall Drinks Lab is bringing back Juniper Festival - a two day event that showcases the best Scottish gin brands.

With over 30 producers confirmed and a full programme of tasting and masterclasses this year’s Juniper Festival is set to be their most exciting event yet.

The team have selected selected the best gin distilleries in the country, giving visitors the chance to try their favourite drinks and chat all things juniper to the most passionate producers.

Speaking of the festival, Noru Innes, owner of Pixel Spirits said: “This will be our second visit to the outstanding Juniper Festival, and we take great pride in attending.

"It is a truly sensational couple of days where people get to meet brands from large to small and get to meet the amazing people in the industry doing extraordinary things.”

The Juniper Festival will feature an array of exhibitors from the biggest names to the smallest local craft producers for a fantastic showcase of their latest releases and exclusives.

Many of the exhibitors will also be selling drinks from their stand, giving the visitors the opportunity to buy a refreshing G&T or gin cocktail while they browse.

Jamie Shields, managing director at Summerhall Drinks Lab and the Juniper Festival said, “Since 2014 we've offered a great range of established and new gin brands from around the country and this year is no exception.

"Meeting the distillers and producers and finding a new favourite is always a highlight for our guests."

This year’s edition is to be the most interactive to date with experiences including talks, masterclasses, and boozy experiments happening throughout the day.

Visitors will be able to learn everything about cocktail making, gin and food pairing or even to create their own mixers in some unique interactive experiences.

Jamie Shields added, “After a couple of years off we are all very excited to be back in Summerhall tasting fantastic gin with great people.

"At the Drinks Lab we excel at putting on interactive drinks experiences all year round, so we wanted to bring a little of that flavour to the Juniper Festival.”

Juniper Festival was one of the first festivals to put sustainability at its core and this year is no exception.

The festival has already been single-use plastic free for five years, and there will be no feeling guilty about the planet while guests will sip on gins from eco-friendly brands and learn how to create waste-free cocktails.
