Black Vanilla, Scotland's first cereal, dessert and candy bar, opened in the city's east end, and offers Glasgow's cereal fans popular British brands, as well as a massive collection of harder to find American styles like Lucky Charms, Apple Jacks and Fruity Pebbles.
Manager Audrey Bisland has confirmed the café will be open from 4pm to 10pm every day and will offer milk shakes, cakes and the delightfully named Hong Kong Waffle wraps as well as the cereals.
There will also be selection of different styles of milk - with flavours like candy floss and caramel - to accompany the cereals, as well as 50 different toppings including mini eggs, chocolate sprinkles and marshmallows.
Posting on their Facebook, the company announced their opening saying: "With over 40 British & American brands to chose from we are guaranteed to blow your mind. Wether it's our mouthwatering homemade Cheesecakes, our fantastic selection of Soave ice cream, the retro sweet selection or Unique Milkshake creations, we guarantee you will be addicted after your first visit."
It seems visitors are already enjoying their wares, one person posted on their Facebook page saying: "Enjoyed my cap'n crunch and fruit loops in candy floss milk. Can't wait to try the waffles and cakes next time. "
The owners are also hoping their newer ideas like their 'freakshakes' - huge milkshakes that are already popular in Australia - and their 'doughnut ice cream' will also be a huge hit with customers.
