Created in conjunction with booking website 5pm.co.uk, Dine Out Edinburgh will give visitors and locals alike the chance to enjoy a meal at 30 of the capital's best restaurants.
The two week celebration of the city’s restaurant scene, running from 8th May to 21st May, will offer food lovers meals at many of Edinburgh’s top restaurants for just £15.95.
The price will include two or three courses, sometimes including a drink, allowing food lovers to indulge at their favourite restaurants without breaking the bank.
To take advantage, diners simply have to take a look at the Dine Out Edinburgh offers at 5pm.co.uk, searching through menus and user reviews to pick their meal.
Participating restaurants include luxury dining establishments such as Tower Restaurant and Blackwoods Bar & Grill; chic bistros like Cafe St Honore and L’Escargot Bleu; and Italian restaurants like Papavero and Zucca.
Aiming to encourage locals and visitors to the city to celebrate Edinburgh’s restaurant scene, the organisers of the event say it will offer great value for those looking to enjoy the best cuisine the city has to offer.
It follows a successful run in the capital last September.
5pm Edinburgh Restaurants Manager Daniel Strachan said Dine Out Edinburgh is a great opportunity for Edinburgh foodies to experience the capital’s restaurants for less.
He said: “Edinburgh has one of the best restaurants scenes in the UK, taking in Michelin stars, street food pops, traditional Scottish cuisine, and much more.
“At 5pm, we firmly believe restaurant dining should be inclusive, not just for people who can afford to spend a lot of money each time they dine. Dine Out Edinburgh offers foodies the opportunity to experience two or three courses at Edinburgh’s top restaurants for just £15.95.”
Cadiz, a Spanish seafood restaurant on Edinburgh’s George Street, spoke of their enthusiasm for taking part in the event.
Claire Freckleton, Marketing Manager of DRG which owns Cadiz, said: “Cadiz is delighted to take part in 5pm’s Dine Out Edinburgh.
“It’s going to be a fun two weeks that Edinburgh foodies won’t want to miss out on.”
