MasterChef winner and host team up for one-off dinner in surprising Glasgow location

Fancy a dinner and Q&A with two MasterChef stars?

Fans of hit TV show, MasterChef, should keep Wednesday 22 May free for a special meet and eat in Glasgow with Gregg Wallace and Masterchef the Professionals winner Gary Maclean.

The writer,  former greengrocer, TV presenter and author will host MasterChef professionals winner and Scottish National chef Gary Maclean in the Milngavie Waitrose.

Guests can look forward to a meet and eat with Gregg - with dishes cooked by Gary - after which they can take part in a Q&A with both Gary and Gregg. There will also be a chance to buy signed copies of their books.

myWaitrose card members can book a seat and enjoy a free wine pairing with the meal.

Dishes includes canapés of: spiced venison kebabs; smoked salmon, crab and avocado; Goats cheese with salt baked and pickled beetroot, chutney, toasted hazelnuts and oatcakes, and braised pig cheek with quails eggs and mustard mayonnaise.

The starter is: Scottish salmon served with Nori seaweed, watermelon, sesame oil, black sesame, sticky rice, coriander, followed by a main of Bone marrow crusted fillet of Scotch beef with Ox cheek ravioli, parsnip puree and crumble and chestnut mushrooms and baby onions.

Dessert is shortbread with apple puree, crème fraiche and granny smith sorbet.

Tickets are £75 per person and available to book online.
