Krispy Kreme set to open Scotland’s first ever 'spaceship shaped store' at Glasgow Fort

Popular doughnut chain Krispy Kreme is set to open Scotland’s first ever "rocket store" at Glasgow Fort this month.

Opening at 10am on the 26th March, this will be the brands sixth venue in Scotland and the country’s first ever Krispy Kreme rocket, which is a unique "spaceship shaped store".

Those people who make the "countdown" for the launch event will also be offered the chance to receive some fun prizes, with customers given the chance to win some of the freshly made, tasty treats on offer on the Krispy Kreme spin to win wheel.

While the first, second and third in line to enter the store on the morning of the 26th will also be rewarded with some exclusive Krispy Kreme goodies.

Krispy Kreme’s very own magician will be on hand at the event, to entertain fans with unique Krispy Kreme magic tricks with the US chain promising further fun and games to enjoy throughout the weekend.

The new store will offer all the varieties of treats – from the classic Original Glazed to Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme varieties.

Craig Evans, UK new store openings manager at Krispy Kreme, said: ‘’We can’t wait to meet our devoted Glaswegian fans at Glasgow Fort– this will be the first store of its kind in Scotland and we’re confident that Glasgow is the perfect place for its launch.

"And to celebrate the lift-off of the new rocket store, we’ll be dishing out hundreds of FREE doughnuts at hotspots across the city…Glaswegians keep your eyes peeled - we will see you there!’’
