Known for his foul mouth on his TV programmes, Gordon Ramsay rose to fame in the 90s and had the last Michelin Star restaurant in Glasgow - Amaryllis - which closed in 2oo4.

Now the celebrity chef is set to open a cook school, to teach budding cooks how to create culinary masterpieces.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Gordon is super-excited about the new academy. Giving space and opportunity to the next generation of British chefs is something he is passionate about.

“He can’t wait to hopefully see those same chefs in his own restaurants in the future.

“It will be an industry-leading facility, to give people of all ages and cooking abilities the chance to have relaxed and fun cookery classes. It will also support people looking to get into the hospitality industry, by giving them somewhere to hone their skills.

“Students will also get work experience in Gordon’s portfolio of restaurants and there will be a guaranteed job at the end of it. It’s a really great idea.”

Last year Gordon Ramsay trademarked the name Gordon Ramsay Academy, which also cover his online cookery courses and a logo for linen, clothing, pots and pans.

The school was due to open in Woking, Surrey, earlier this year but as with most things, has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. It is now due to open in early 2021.
