Tinned pie brand Fray Bentos have launched a new meat-free meal - a vegan bolognese microwavable pot.
The firm, whose products are manufactured in Scotland, is known for its iconic tinned pie range, and launched their first ever plant-based product last year.
Inspired by the classic dish, the new addition provides a convenient shortcut to hearty pub grub at home for when cooking from scratch isn't an option.
Ready to enjoy straight from the microwave in just three minutes, the Fray Bentos bolognase is made with soy mince that is simmered in a slow-cooked tomato sauce, which contains herbs and spices including oregano, basil, black and pepper.
The team say to 'serve with vegan pasta to complete a delicious, protein rich, vegan meal in minutes.'
The Fray Bentos vegan bolognese pot is joined by BBQ sausage and black bean stew, chicken curry and meatball Arrabiata flavours in the new range, and joins the growing range of vegan and vegetarian Fray Bentos pies.
The pots come in packaging that is 98 per cent recyclable and the vegan bolognese is available in Home Bargains, Nisa, Costcutter, Spar and Booths with an RRP of £1.50.
