Edinburgh based Burgers and Beers Grillhouse are celebrating after picking up the award as Scotland’s Best Burger from food super-power Unilever.
The restaurant saw off competition from hundreds of entries to take home the top prize and now go into the National Final where they aim to pick up the Best Burger in Britain title.
The restaurant, which is situated on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, picked up the award after being reviewed on their originality, quality of ingredients, chef skills, range of choices and guest feedback.
Burgers and Beers Grillhouse, who recently picked up a Certificate of Excellence on Tripadvisor, were also finalists in The Hospitality Awards, narrowly being pipped in the final.
Assistant General Manager Christopher Skene commented “To be recognised as Scotland’s Best Burger is a real testament to the great team here at Burgers and Beers Grillhouse. We’re humbled to be awarded such recognition, and with our ethos of sourcing the freshest local ingredients and cooking them to perfection, we’re aiming to finish the job and become Britain’s Best Burger”
The final, which will feature six of the best burgers from all over the U.K, will take place on the 30th of August where the winner will pick up £10,000 in PR support to add to the £2,500 already won to make them famous for their burger.
