Feeling the pinch the week before pay day but still can't bring yourself to cook? Is there somewhere you've always wanted to eat that's just a little out of reach? This is where discount sites come in – not just for manicures and questionable makeovers at photography studios, the proliferation of companies offering deals to savvy consumers (and businesses) are the best place to find offers on fine dining too. Here's a round-up of the best deals on offer in Glasgow this week.

Itison.com posts its deals daily and gives users 24 hours to purchase them. On offer today is dinner for two – three courses and a glass of Champagne – at The Honours Glasgow at Malmaison, the latest venture of Michelin-starred Scottish chef Martin Wishart, for just £49.

On 5pm.co.uk today's deals (which have to be used today) include two steaks and a bottle of wine for £29.50 at Tempus, the restaurant of five-star hotel Grand Central, or to really push the boat out book the seven-course tasting menu at One Devonshire Gardens for £69 per person.

Groupon.co.uk is offering a Chateaubriand for two with sides and a bottle of wine for £49 (instead of £87.50) at Marco Pierre White's Glasgow, while if you book through Last Minute you can get 20 per cent off the city's most authentic Chinese food at Chop Chop for up to ten people between today and 30 November.

On Living Social you can buy dinner (starter and main course) and a bottle of wine for two at 29, The Grill Room at The Square on Royal Exchange Square for £29 or for four (with two bottles of wine, don't worry) for £58 – you have until 31 March next year to tuck in.

Or to try something different at minimal financial risk, Amazon Local has a deal for a two-course dinner for two at Russian Café-Gallery Cossachok for just £19, a saving of 53 per cent. Dishes include smoked salmon blinis, pork cooked in beer and lamb goulash – and they even throw in a shot of vodka.
