Largs's finest set up shop in the West End a few years ago, and has brought its award-winning ice cream and seaside nostalgia along too.
Although the Art Deco elegance isn't quite the same as the famous Largs outlet, the ice cream is. Try a sundae, knickerbocker glory or just a simple scoop in a cone, bedecked with a signature wafer.

Another award-winning ice-cream parlour can be found on Byres Road, not far from Nardini's. Crolla's has been serving traditional gelato since 1895, and continues to be as popular today.
Their Cold Stone creations are perfect for an indulgence but for the traditionalists, it has to be a raspberry ripple cone or vanilla sundae.

They do say that variety is the spice of life and with Big Licks that's certainly what you get as their modern take on the old familiar dessert café offers endless combos of frozen treats.
Be warned though it gets busy, but then again while you're queuing you'll have plenty of time to decide what type of toppings you want and whether you're craving waffles or cookie dough to go with your ice cream.

Few things beat that old school flavour of Glasgow's original cafés, and the Newland's Café has been a Shawlands' favourite for a long time, for good reason.
Newly updated with Coia's range of modern ice-cream flavours (think tablet, Irn-Bru and Kola Cubes), the selection at Newland's Cafe also includes traditional favourites such as vanilla.

If you like your ice-cream with a side of Belgium's finest then Waffle Monster is the place to go. Brightly decorated and conveniently located in town, this fun shop sells all kinds of flavours of ice cream from toffee fudge to cookies and cream, bubblegum and Cornish vanilla. The signature waffle sundae is a must-try for those with a sweet tooth.
Waffle Monster also serves up Bubble Tea, coffees, homemade cakes and dessert and a selection of vegan items.

A Glasgow institution, Queen's Cafe is one of the few 1950s style ice cream parlours left in the city. The giant ice creams in the window, art deco interior and leather booths hark back to another era when these types of cafe's were ten a penny.
Serving up freshly made Ginesi's gelato, some the flavours are more modern than the cafe. Think salted caramel, bubblegum, peanut butter and jelly and Kinder Bueno. But there's always a place for good old fashion vanilla topped with raspberry sauce, just like the old days.
*Look out for Loop & Scoop, opening soon on Great Western Road. The UK's first ice cream and churros bar is set to be popular as temperature rise (we hope) this summer.*
