Jura whisky will be releasing new single cask releases to celebrate this year’s Fèis Ìle festival, which is now in its 40th year.
This gathering of whisky fans who come from across the globe is a must for those who want to experience the island whisky making communities of Islay and Jura.
On 29 May Jura will be welcoming whisky lovers to its beachside distillery, with tours of the distillery on offer as well as tastings, live music, cocktails and boat tours exploring Jura's beautiful coastline.
To mark the 40th anniversary of the festival, two very special expressions will be released, exclusively available to the whisky-lovers who visit Jura in-person during Fèis Ìle. These single cask distillery exclusives both showcase the unique island spirit.

The Fèis Ìle Annual Release is a 16 year old whisky initially matured in second fill Bourbon barrels before an 18 month finish in a single 400L Armagnac cask.
The 40th anniversary release honours this milestone for the Fèis Ìle festival. This 24 Year Old whisky was initially matured in refill Bourbon barrels followed by an eight year finish in a single Sauternes barrique. As well as being available to buy from Jura’s brand home, it will also be available in specialist whisky bars and pubs across Scotland.
Joe Ricketts, lead blender for Jura said: “For this year’s Fèis Ìle, we’ve explored our warehouses for not one, but two really special whiskies. Both are rare single cask releases that explore different aspects of Jura’s distillery character.
“For our 16 year old expression, we started with spirit-forward second fill ex-bourbon barrels, then transferred a small portion to old 400L Armagnac casks. This complements the fruity and aromatic qualities of Jura, while maintaining a hint of coastal complexity.
“Over the past couple of years we’ve been returning to our 2001 vintage Sauternes casks with the Distillery team, discussing the intricacies of the spirit as it develops and its charming patisserie-like notes.
“In celebration of the festival’s 40th anniversary we’ve bottled one of our favourites from the one-off parcel which showcases Jura’s complex island spirit in all its glory.”
There are a few tickets still remaining for this year’s Feis Ile celebration on Jura, which can be purchased via the Feis Ile website.
