Mothership Scotland

Mothership, the online drinks retailer set up by the founders of Edinburgh’s award-winning cocktail bar Bramble, has announced that it will start stocking products from other, local producers with the incentive of free shipping on all purchases to the UK mainland until
further notice.

While Bramble and its sister bars, Lucky Liquor Co. and the Last Word Saloon, are closed in line with the Government’s instructions during these challenging times, Mothership is able to continue delivering directly to home cocktail enthusiasts via online delivery.

“This is a really tough time for hospitality,” said co-founder Jason Scott, “but we’re fortunate that we have an avenue where we can still do what we’re best at - getting great drinks into people’s hands to help them enjoy themselves. It might not be much, but hopefully it’s
something that can help bring a little joy and every sale through Mothership helps us for the future when we can reopen the bars.”

With people being advised to stay at home, Drygate Brewing Co. has launched a brand-new same-day delivery service to bring quality beer and pub food to the masses, whilst helping support NHS workers and food banks as they fight to support the public during the Covid-19 crisis.

The quick-turnaround launch of its new on-demand function comes as Drygate joins the hordes of businesses working to keep the hospitality sector thriving, while continuing to serve its community.

Glasgow punters can place an order via the Drygate website before midday and get their favourite Drygate products delivered directly to their door.

Meanwhile, delicious hot food including loaded fries, pizza, burgers, and other treats straight from the Drygate Brasserie are also available to order within the Glasgow area.

NHS workers will be granted 50 per cent off all food orders.

Drygate is also enabling people to harness their desire to support their communities and donate to food banks directly from their doorstep with the relaunch of its successful ‘Can for a Can’ initiative. Dedicated delivery drivers will collect donated food items and household essentials and courier them to local food banks.

Originally launched in July 2019, ‘Can for a Can’ has so far helped hundreds of people support the struggling Drumchapel Food Bank.

Last week BrewDog announced a drive-thru service along with a click and collect offering for those who fancy a beer fix and don't have a car.

But the craft beer giant has always had an online shop, which is still open despite COVID-19, stocked full of their big name beers such as Punk IPA along with a selection of sours from their Overworks brewery.
