If you're a fan of whisky and looking for your next opportunity then the vacancies at this popular Speyside distillery may be your dream job.

Posting on their social media, the GlenAllachie distillery announced that they are hiring "motivated individuals with a passion for whisky to work as part of a small dedicated team."

The team are looking to hire seasonal tour guides on a full time or part time basis and a permanent warehouse operative.

The tour guide job is suitable for those with a 'passion for talking all things whisky, good communication skills, engaging character and the enthusiasm to deliver an exceptional experience for tourists.'

The role involves leading groups of visitors through the distillery, delivering tastings, working in the visitor centre shop and other duties as requested. The candidates should be confident, self-motivated, have a strong work ethic and work well as part of a team.

The warehouse operative role is a hand's on job that includes tasks such as moving and handling casks, and working in the filling area. While previous experience is desired, it isn't essential.

About GlenAllachie

Opened in 1967, the distillery was mothballed in 1985 before reopening in 1989. Owners have included MacKinley McPherson, Campbell Distillers and Pernod Ricard but in 2017, Billy Walker, Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson came together to acquire the GlenAllachie Distillery and form The GlenAllachie Distillers Company Limited.

The distillery opened its doors for tours on the first day of the Spirit of Speyside festival in 2019, to great feedback.

Tours include a walk round of the distillery, the opportunity to buy bottles from exclusive distillery casks and the chance to hand-fill a bottle straight from the cask.

In July 2019 the GlenAllachie distillery extended its collection of whiskies with the launch of its first-ever range of limited edition wood finishes.
