Holidays this year will once again be at home, and with more and more of us staying in Scotland over summer, it has become harder to get a booking.
With this in mind, Highland Spring has teamed up with Monachyle Mhor to raffle off a tiny holiday home - with tickets just £1.15.
Frustration over holiday availability in the UK following the global pandemic has led to more than 70 per cent of people wishing they could buy their own holiday home.
But with house prices increasing at the fastest rate in five years, more than 63 per cent admit that they will never be able to afford one - according to new research.
In response, Highland Spring is offering a rare chance to make that dream come true.
This summer, someone will get their hands on an idyllic, custom-built holiday home for the price of Highland Spring’s brand-new flavoured sparkling can, which costs £1.15 (RRP).
The unusual opportunity, which is now live, offers exclusive use of a luxury tiny home as a holiday retreat for a year.
Nestled near Loch Voil on a sprawling 2,000-acre estate, the tiny house sits adjacent to the 5-star Monachyle Mhor boutique hotel in Balquhidder.
Surrounded by the wild, natural greenery of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, a year’s use of the custom-built tiny house would normally be worth more than £33,000.
It comes kitted out with a double bed, wood burner, kitchenette and gas cooker, full bathroom with shower and an outdoor deck, complete with cosy firepit.
The unconventional draw marks the launch of Highland Spring’s new flavoured sparkling water range, that includes flavours Pear & Elderflower; Blackberry, Plum & Hibiscus; and Rhubarb & Ginger.
The Highland Spring Holiday home will include a fridge stocked with Highland Spring products, herb garden windows, and a guide to foraging the wild berries and delicious wild foods that surround it.
While the usual home comforts of running hot water and electricity will be provided, there will be no Wi-Fi, creating the optimum chance to completely switch off from all the demands and beeps of everyday life and just enjoy the natural location.
Eco-friendly, but with a luxe finish, it has been specially designed to have minimal impact on the environment.
Reflecting Highland Spring’s commitment to providing healthy hydration in an environmentally sustainable way, the low-impact home will come with its own recycling service.
The lucky owner will also have the chance to visit the nearby Ochil Hills, home of Highland Spring, guided by Alex Haken.
Known as ‘the guardian of the source’, Alex works tirelessly to protect the organic, natural land that Highland Spring is drawn from, keeping the water pure and untouched from source to first sip.
Mike Buckland, consumer marketing controller, Highland Spring Group, said: “The last year has been difficult and with the summer finally here, we understand that people want to get away from it all.
"At Highland Spring, we’re lucky to be surrounded by Scotland’s untouched natural landscapes and we never take it for granted. We want to give everyone the chance to experience the quiet beauty of nature.
“Our new flavoured sparkling cans, which are 100% recyclable, are packed with flavours inspired by wild Scotland.
"Whoever gets their hands on our tiny house for a year will be able to experience the very best of nature right on their doorstep, in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity - one of the most sought-after luxuries in one of the country’s most beautiful locations will be all theirs.
"Surrounded by ospreys and otters, loch swimming and mountain climbing, this is a magical place for someone to call their holiday home.”
To enter the photo draw, people must follow Highland Spring on Instagram or Facebook; and share a photograph of the new fruit flavoured Highland Spring sparkling water cans in an outdoor natural setting on their Instagram grid or Facebook page, tagging @highland_spring and adding #HighlandSpringHoliday.
Each photograph that satisfies the requirements will be entered into the photo draw, which will be drawn on 13 August 2021 with the house available to stay in before the end of the month.
