A Meet the Maker evening will be the first event at the Bonnie & Wild Marketplace, which opened its doors on 15 July.

The marketplace has 11 restaurants and retailers, and there is space for 700 diners, who can sit anywhere and order from the different restaurants or food stalls.

As well as all this, there is a flexible private events space that is complete with dining area, bar and demo kitchen.

It's here that owner of Edinburgh's Secret Herb Garden, Hamish Martin, will talk guests through the story behind the garden, its namesake gins, how they are made and the botanicals behind them.

After this introduction from Hamish, the Secret Herb Garden's head of on-trade, Daniel, will present their range of gins and guide guests through an in-depth tasting.

He will then end the tasting with an easy to make cocktail demonstration that guests will also get to try.

When is the event?

The event will run from 22-24 July, from 7pm.

Tickets are priced at £30 and include a welcome gin and tonic, four sample gin and tonics, a gin cocktail and goody bag.
