Newbarns Brewery is currently running a 'pay it forward' scheme, where customers buying from their web shop can nominate a pub to receive wholesale credit.

Posting on their social media, the team at Newbarns wrote: "For every web shop order over £70, we’ll let you nominate a pub to receive £25 wholesale credit. All you have to do is spend the money and we’ll get in touch with you."

The idea has already been successful with London brewers Pressure Drop Brewing.

The initiative is set to carry on until pubs reopen, along with a shipping deal, as the team explained saying: "We’ll be running the main web shop deal until whenever we can actually get back to the pub, just like the free shipping on anything over £25 until we can all get back outside!"

Founders of Newbarns, Gordon Emma, Freddie and Jonny worked in breweries (Siren Craft Brew, Beavertown and The Kernel Brewery) in London before moving to Scotland to set up Newbarns in 2019.

The brewery was set to be one of many showcasing its beers in last year's Edinburgh Craft Beer Festival, which was postponed then cancelled due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

Beers available from the Newbarns online shop include: table beer, oat lager beer, stout, pilsner and pale ale.
