Eden Mill joins the growing list of distilleries heading online to bring audiences together during this time, with the announcement of the first of their virtual tastings.

Just the tonic to shake up the monotony of another Saturday night on the sofa during Covid-19 lockdown; gin enthusiasts and novices will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the distillery story and discover the tastes and flavours of the brand’s full range of classic gins and liqueurs - all from the safety of their home.

How will the tasting work?

During the 90 minute event, brand ambassador Steve Lowrie Mckay and head of events, Chris Weir will share their expertise and knowledge of the botanicals in the gins, as well as the history of gin in Scotland and the Eden Mill distillery.

Participants will benefit from their guidance as they taste six different gins, and will even have the opportunity to win further treats and prizes as they interact with their hosts over Zoom (the online video conferencing website).

Best enjoyed between two people, each participant will receive 12 gins and liqueurs by courier ahead of the event, alongside two Eden Mill traditional tulip glasses, and two Eden Mill Mixology Project cocktails to kickstart their tasting.

Brand ambassador, Steve Lowrie Mckay said: “Our gin tasting experiences are renowned as a brilliant day out for gin enthusiasts and novices alike, in fact the Eden Mill gin tasting is the number 1 attraction in St Andrews on Trip Advisor.

"We know that people at home are beginning to feel boredom set in and frankly we’d like nothing better than a Saturday night out on the town, but while we can’t do that for our own safety during lockdown, Eden Mill thought we could bring the party to your living room in April.

"I look forward to chatting through the range of Eden Mill’s classic craft gins, including the St Andrews take on London Dry Gin, which was voted Scotland's Number One Gin at the 2018 Scottish Gin Awards, where 116 gins were blind-tasted!”

How much does it cost?

The Eden Mill gin tasting cost £50 with limited places available on Saturday April 4 and Saturday April 11. If you miss out, more dates will be announced soon.
