The hidden vending machine can be found at 109 George Street, Edinburgh, and will be dispensing cans of LoneWolf’s signature gin and tonic over the next week.

Over-18s can get their free can by posting on Instagram and tagging @LoneWolfSpirits using the hashtag #WolfOfGeorgeSt to receive their own free token for the LoneWolf vending machine.

The LoneWolf Gin and Tonic vending machine will be dispensing cans from 12pm to 8pm on the following dates:

Thursday 23rd – Sunday 26th August

Thursday 30th August – Saturday 1st September

LoneWolf’s latest venture is a nod to the history of gin’s prohibition in the 1800’s, which led to the invention of covert vending machines.

Bars in cities across the UK would create hidden slots that would dispense shots of gin to those in need of a sneaky dram.

Steven Kersley, head of distillation of LoneWolf said: “The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is an iconic expression of individuality, creativity and innovation, bringing together those who run against the pack. These values are at the heart of everything we do at LoneWolf so it felt like the perfect occasion to unleash the LoneWolf Gin and Tonic vending machine.

“For too long consumers have been sold the idea that gin is bought in bulk and redistilled with a brand's own botanicals, before being diluted to a strength way below a perfect serve. LoneWolf Gin and Tonic cans are mixed in the exact ratio we would serve them in one of our bars. No shortcuts or compromises. We will protect the quality of our spirits above all else.”
