A new rooftop market with street food and drinks is coming to Edinburgh this summer

Titled Neighbourhood, the new market will have a lofty position in the city.

The new open air market will open on the rooftop of Waverley in Edinburgh city centre on Wednesday 8 July.

What's on offer?

A range of street food and drink will be available to buy, giving customers the chance to support local traders.

The official line-up of local independent businesses at Neighbourhood include:

- El Cartel: Inspired Mexican street food

- Fire & Dough: Artisan wood-fired pizza

- Kebbabar: Gourmet kebabs

- Linton & Co: Specialty coffee and brownies

- Herringbone in collaboration with Innis & Gunn: cocktails, mocktails, beer & wine

More names will be announced as the market grows.

Speaking ahead of the opening, Jenny Maniam, co-director of Neighbourhood said: “We wanted to do something that provided an opportunity for some of our colleagues in the hospitality industries who have been hit hard as well as tapping into the incredible public consciousness that has seen a real swing towards supporting local businesses.
