Situated in the village that gives it its name, Luss Smokehouse offers a large variety of Scottish produce including packets of beech smoked salmon, beech smoked trout, beech smoked mackerel, various pates or mussels, as well as traditional haggis, Scottish ice creams and shortbread.
Founded in 2015, the store allows visitors to look through viewing windows into the Smokehouse to see first-hand the now famous beech smoked seafood being prepared, smoked, sliced and hand packed by their team of skilled artisans.
Guests have the option to purchase chilled ice bags for their products which keeps items cold for up to 48 hours.
The Smokehouse also offers a selection of ‘food-to-go’, with their freshly made smoked salmon or trout and cream cheese bagels becoming increasingly popular with visiting tourists, over a million of which visit Luss every year.
Shop assistant Kathryn McElroy said: “It’s wonderful working here in the shop, we get to meet lots of different people from all over the world every day and tell them all about Scotland and its wonderful produce.”
