The Peat Inn on the east neuk won Scotland's first Michelin Star in the 80s, and has been listed since then.

The Peat Inn is run by head chef Geoffrey Smeddle, who takes full advantage of the wonderful region of Fife to source only the best ingredients.

The menu focuses on some of the best seafood and game dishes that this area is famed for.

But during the Star announcements for 2022, The Peat Inn was missing from the retained in Scotland list, causing many to think they'd lost the Star.

It turns out they've been mistakenly listed in England.

Posting on their Instagram the team wrote: "The @michelinguide 2022 is out! We are so happy to retain our #MICHELINstar for the 13th consecutive time! Thanks to our outstanding staff and all our wonderful guests."

The 2022 Guide has ten Michelin Star Scottish restaurants with Restaurant Andrew Fairlie retaining its place as Scotland's only two Michelin Star restaurant.
