The former snooker champion, who is now an ambassador for online poker site PokerStars, is swapping the green felt for the kitchen as he puts his cooking skills to the test in popular television show Celebrity MasterChef.
The seven-time snooker World Champion and keen poker player is a contestant in the BBC1 show tomorrow night where he will battle it out against comedian Vic Reeves, newsreader Julia Somerville, presenter Angellica Bell and former tennis champion Henri Leconte to reach the next stage of the competition.
Hendry said: .“I’m a huge foodie and I love to cook at home, as well as visit restaurants all over the world and try out different foods.”
“MasterChef is a great opportunity for me to try my hand at cooking in a competitive environment and hopefully I will be able to transfer my skills from snooker and poker, such as staying calm and keeping focused.”
