The Scottish Macaroni Appreciation Club (SMAC) and Sloans bar in Glasgow have come together to bring their famous mac and cheese to homes.

This Christmas, Sloans are  bringing their mac n’ cheese club to mac lovers across Glasgow, with SMAC in a Box.

This cook at home macaroni and cheese box contains two portions of macaroni, Sloans secret cheese sauce, four toppings of pancetta, sundried tomtoes, grated cheddar cheese and Gruyere crumb and a pot of chocolate custard for dessert macaroni.

The kit also has instructions on how to make the meal, plus honorary membership to the Scottish Macaroni Appreciation Club, which includes 20 per cent off mac n’ cheese at Sloans all year round.

SMAC in a box priced at £15 - with orders being taken online now at itison.

The news comes days after Sloans launched their Mac Mission, which will portions of their macaroni to the Kindness Homeless Street Team, who help feed the most vulnerable in Glasgow over the Christmas period.

Itison also recently launched their £5 voucher for feeding the homeless this Christmas, with proceeds going to Social Bite.

The annual Christmas fundraiser has been running since 2014 and has raised over £2.6 million and 500,000 donations to those who need it most.

The most recent itison fundraiser took place this summer, and saw over 15,000 meals delivered to the homeless, elderly and most vulnerable in society during the pandemic.
