The preparations are well and truly underway for the AAM Scottish Open, which takes place from the 9th - 12th July at Gullane Golf Club.

In celebration, The Golf Inn, which is based in the heart of Gullane, has designed four special menus to offer Scottish, seasonal and delicious food to the tens of thousands of visitors expected to flock to East Lothian this July.

The Golf Inn will be starting the day with an assortment of delicious classic morning rolls, a continental breakfast buffet and The Golf Inn’s speciality full cooked breakfast. In the evening there will be locally sourced dishes such as lobster from North Berwick, scallops from Isle of Mull and Aberdeen Angus rib-eye steak. These are served with seasonal sides such as East Lothian summer vegetables, buttery new potatoes or homemade chunky chips. Visitors can expect to see an expanded menu with a variety of starters and puddings, as well as seasonal specials throughout the week.

The Golf Inn will also be making the most of their gorgeous suntrap beer garden by hosting a barbecue each evening too. It will be the perfect opportunity to kick back and enjoy the sun with some drinks and a selection of tasty barbecue classics such as Black Angus burgers, frankfurter hot dogs and buttery corn on the cob.

Derek Johnstone, Head Chef at The Golf Inn, said: “We’re delighted to be right in the middle of all the action for the Scottish Open this summer. Being just five minutes away from Gullane Golf Club we’re ideally located for people visiting and attending the Scottish Open and we can’t wait to welcome everyone in for all of their food and drink needs!”

The Golf Inn is a traditional village inn based in Gullane with plentiful accommodation and dining options. The Head Chef Derek was the inaugural MasterChef: The Professionals winner and he uses this experience to create simply stunning menus that celebrate each season and a vast number of Scottish suppliers. Following a massive refurbishment last year, The Golf Inn is now the perfect spot for all of your dining and accommodation needs.

The Golf Inn will be open to residents and non-residents from the 6th - 12th July for breakfast, lunch, dinner and a barbecue in the beer garden each day.
