Popular Edinburgh restaurant reveals new-look and updated seasonal menu

Edinburgh brasserie Otro has announced a sparkling relaunch in time for the festive season, with a stylish new look and a seasonal update of their menu.

Situated in a traditional Georgian building on Edinburgh’s prestigious Coates Crescent, Otro offers an elegant dining experience with delicious food, sophisticated surroundings and warm, welcoming service.

Otro’s ethos is to provide beautiful dishes that taste just as wonderful as they look, at prices you might not expect in the heart of the capital's West End.

A family-run restaurant with an upscale feel, the restaurant's interior comprises an elegant bar area, two ambient dining rooms, a large private entertaining space and a highly-Instagrammable outdoor terrace.

From intimate tables for two or a speedy lunch, to a Sunday roast with the whole family, Otro provides the perfect backdrop.

Seasonal dishes, made using high-quality local produce, are matched with attentive service, an extensive wine list and an ever-changing cocktail menu.

The restaurant’s renovation comes almost two years after opening, bringing a whole new look to Otro.

Expect an elegant colour scheme of deep blues, rich greens and warm yellows, alongside marble tables and plush velvet chairs; decadence and simplicity sat side-by-side to create a glamorous interior that hints at candlelit Parisian evenings, romantic yet relaxed.

Founder Matthew Korecki has worked with his Executive Chef Maciek Szymik to refresh Otro’s menu ready for autumn/winter, adding in a series of delicious new dishes to sit alongside old favourites.

Otro’s ethos of cosy comfort food flavours, blended with unusual ingredients and presented beautifully, creates a foodie experience not to be missed.

Customers can expect new delights such as venison ragu fritters with parmesan custard, and lemon parfait with confit fennel, as well as trademark Otro dishes including Shetland mussels, Scottish lamb and North Sea cod.

Matthew Korecki, founder of Otro, commented, “I am delighted to be relaunching Otro with a new look and new additions to our menu.

"After almost two years here, we feel the brasserie has developed a personality of its own, and we wanted the renovations to reflect that.

"The new look is classic but contemporary, much like our updated menu, and we feel that it will cement Otro as the place to go whenever you want to feel special.

"Our team are like a family and we extend that to our patrons too; we look forward to welcoming back our existing clientele and meeting new diners in the coming weeks.”

Otro’s new menu is available now, to book your table please call the restaurant on 0131 556 0004 or visit the restaurant's website.
