Featuring everything from Scotland’s world-renowned traditional dishes to bold new flavour combinations, the Lidl Scottish Larder event champions suppliers from across the country with prices starting from 75p.

Included in the line-up are family favourites Baxters, Tunnocks and Mackies, with award-winning Reids Bakery joining with its range of Scottish Shortbread and Oat Crumbles available from £1.29.

Managed by husband and wife duo Gary and Tracy Reid, the family-run bakery produces over 15million biscuits every year at its Thurso factory.

Tracy Reid, business development manager at Reids Bakery, said: "Joining Lidl’s Scottish Larder alongside some of the country’s finest producers is a highlight for us.

"We’re passionate when it comes to bringing unique products to the bakery aisle.

"We believe attention to detail makes food taste incredible, which is why we use the very best ingredients and experiment with flavour combinations."

Launching across Scottish stores from the 8 April, the Scottish Larder line-up also includes one of the nation’s favourite pakora makers, Mrs Unis.

The Edinburgh-based producer is known for its famous Haggis Pakora, which will be available in Lidl for £1.29.

In an exclusive for the supermarket, Hamilton ice cream maker Equi’s will be in stores in time for the warmer weather (we hope) with its luxurious mint chocolate chip ice cream, priced at £2.29.

Equi’s, the current ICA UK ice cream champions are known for creating artisan ice cream using high-quality ingredients from local Scottish dairy farms, and secret family recipes that have been passed down through four generations.
