From an Edinburgh-based coffee manufacturer specialising in roast coffee to a vegan pea snack producer from Perthshire, Scottish Larder fortnight is a celebration of Scotland’s diverse and growing food and drink scene.

What products are available?

Shoppers can look forward to traditional Scottish flavours with a twist, such as a haggis pizza from family-run Edinburgh pizza makers Cosmo’s, for £2.29.

Other items include rhubarb and strawberry ice cream from Aberdeenshire's Mackie’s, for £2.49 per 1 litre tub.

Scotland’s world-renowned seafood will also line the shelves, with Scotch Reserve Scottish Oak-Smoked Salmon from Dumfries-based smokehouse, St James, for £2.99.

Podberry is the UK’s first freeze-dried seasoned snack product made with Scottish-grown peas, which grown and made in the heart of Perthshire.

They're freeze dried on the farm before natural flavours are added, enhancing the sweet taste of the pea, the product is then packed ready to enjoy.

Paul McQuade, head of buying in Scotland, said: “The latest Lidl Scottish Larder event champions the unique flavours Scotland has to offer, with a great mix of firm family favourites but also showcasing many new suppliers for the first time.
