Freshly made daily and served up with El Cartel's hand pressed tortillas, the tacos, which include fillings like battered cod, pork shoulder and crispy ox tongue, will be available alongside a selection of soft drinks and frozen margaritas for those looking to enjoy lunch on the go.

Stuart McCluskey, founder and managing director of The Bon Vivant Group said: “I love the vibrancy, flavours and colours of Mexico and my mission with the launch of the first El Cartel back in 2014 was to translate this in an authentic way to the Scottish market.

"Take away tacos is a very natural progression as street food is such a huge part of the Mexican culture and with the approach of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival it’s the perfect time to launch our own version at El Cartel Teviot.”
