Chef Mark Greenaway launches Pivot by You cook at home kits

Pivot, the debut London restaurant from award-winning chef Mark Greenaway, have launched cook at home kits - Pivot by You.

Pivot, which opened its doors in autumn 2021, is housed within 3 Henrietta Street, a five-storey townhouse in the heart of Covent Garden.

The restaurant has become known for its refined tasting menus, taking the concept of ‘seasonally-changing’ to new heights, with the menu entirely changing each month.

For the first time, Mark will now be offering Pivot’s tasting menus for diners to cook at home, delivering ‘Pivot by You’ boxes nationwide.

Each month Mark and his team of chefs will offer a set menu to be cooked step-by-step at home, so diners can enjoy the full Pivot experience without even so much as leaving the house.

The boxes are filled with carefully-labelled boxes, with clear instructions as to how to prepare and cook the four course menu.

Priced at £80, Pivot by You boxes serve two people and are perfect for a special occasion, or simply a weekend evening in.

As he is known for doing in his restaurant in Edinburgh, Mark uses ingredients from his network of local producers and farmers to create a playful yet refined at-home menu.

The four-course at-homr menu begins with a mini brioche loaf, with whipped homemade butter and long pepper, giving diners a taste of what’s to come, just as in the Covent Garden restaurant.

The menu then moves on to an accomplished starter of smoked salmon, sauce gribiche, caviar and toast crisps before the main event of Mark’s tender 10-hour slow cooked truffled lamb shank with a choice of either dark chocolate lamb jus, peppercorn sauce, or tarragon and pink peppercorn butter.

Diners have the option to customise their meal kits, with a selection of sides to choose to accompany the lamb shank, including stuffed tomato with flat mushroom and confit garlic; charred cabbage with chilli and hazelnut butter; potato dauphinoise or potato purée.

Chef Mark’s boxes include a cheese course of truffled brie with sesame seed crackers and plum chutney before the meal is rounded off with a lemon curd tart with a poppyseed tuille.

To top it off, each Pivot by You box includes fresh truffle from Mark’s treasured supplier, Wiltshire Truffles, adding a touch of luxury to an evening in.

The boxes serve two people and are priced at £80 (exc. delivery). Deliveries take place every Friday, with orders to be made on Tuesday the same week.
