Aldi launches affordable veg range in Scottish stores

Aldi is launching an affordable range of organic products in all 66 Scottish stores which will see customers save on their organic shopping basket.

The range will initially include potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli and onions, with prices ranging from 79p to £1.29.

The Just Organic Veg range is in Scottish stores now, and includes:

· Organic onions, 750g, 79p
· Organic white mushrooms, 250g, 69p
· Organic potatoes, 1.5kg, £1.29
· Organic carrots, 750g, 79p
· Organic broccoli, 79p each

Richard Holloway, Managing Director of Aldi in Scotland, said: “Following customer feedback, we know our shoppers want to buy more organic products, but price is often the reason why it’s not a regular purchase. This is why we’ve launched an organic range at an affordable everyday low price.

“At Aldi we believe it’s important for organic produce to be available to everyone. Our customers know we continuously work towards exciting them with our new offerings and that now, more than ever, they can buy their entire weekly shop at Aldi, safe in the knowledge they are purchasing the best quality products at everyday low prices.”

The news will be welcomed by shoppers in Scotland where Aldi also have plans to expand its presence with eight new stores opening in the next 12 months bringing its total number of Scottish locations to 72.
