6 Scottish restaurants named best in UK for brunch and Sunday lunch in national top 100

Six restaurants in Scotland have been named as best in the UK for brunch and Sunday lunch.

With Mother's Day just around the corner (10 March), OpenTable announces its Top 100 Brunches and Sunday Lunches in the UK for 2024 list based on diner reviews.

Featuring an array of dining options from cosy cafes to upscale eateries, OpenTable’s list encompasses the top brunch and Sunday lunch spots across the UK, based on over 1.2M diner reviews and metrics.

Twenty restaurants on the list are based in London; eight in Yorkshire; and six restaurants across Scotland including Edinburgh’s McLarens on the Corner and The Woodside Doune in Stirling.

Robin Chiang, senior vice president of growth at OpenTable said: “Last year, over half of Brits (55%) made their reservations at least six days before Mother’s Day so book your reservation by March 4.

“Discover the perfect place to take mum on OpenTable’s Top 100 Brunches and Sunday Lunches list, featuring restaurants across the UK from Devon to Derbyshire and Wales to Worcestershire.”

OpenTable’s Top 100 Brunches and Sunday Lunches list is created by analysing more than 1.2 million diner reviews and includes restaurants across the UK with dishes to suit every palate and preference - from boozy brunches and Sunday lunches to lavish afternoon teas.
