The Whisky Exchange to release new ‘captivating’ Zodiac Series range of single cask whiskies

The whisky website has released the first in a new series that celebrates the signs of the zodiac.

Following the excellent reception from customers for ‘The Seasons Series’ of whiskies in 2024-2025, The Whisky Exchange has launched a second whisky series, this time taking inspiration from the 12 signs of the Zodiac.

Launched on Monday 2 February 2026, the first release in The Zodiac Series features whiskies for Pisces, Aries, Taurus and Gemini.

Whisky Exchange Zodiac series

Each expression in the series of single cask whiskies has been selected by The Whisky Exchange’s buying director Dawn Davies and own-label product manager Chris Bolton for its flavour, its quality and its ability to reflect the unique attributes commonly associated with the different star signs.

The series will be released in three collectable sets, each containing an air, a water, an earth and a fire sign and each featuring captivating artwork created by the talented Jenna Morse of The Whisky Exchange design team.

Here we take a look at the whiskies in the Zodiac series.

Pisces (19 February - 20 March) Glenglassaugh 2015 10 Year Old- 55.4% - £87.95

Pisces, the fish, is not only associated with the sea, but also with creativity and intuition. To capture this essence, we chose this maritime-tinged whisky from Glenglassaugh.

It has a touch of sea spray, all wrapped with fresh and dried fruit, and a gentle spice, thanks to its maturation in second-fill oloroso sherry casks.

A great combination of cask and spirit, seldom seen and very tasty.

Aries (21 March-19 April) Bunnahabhain 2013 12 Year Old - 53.7% - £105

Aries is classically bold and unapologetic, and this punchy Staoisha, meaning peated Bunnahabhain, is the perfect pairing.

Smoky bacon and burning grass dive into piles of orchard fruit and spice, with roasted nuts and singed caramel not far behind.

Ardbeg to release cask strength 10 year old whisky - an ‘unforgettable’ dram

A whisky that barrels forward like its namesake ram, bursting with purpose and flavour.

Taurus (20 April-20 May) Dailuaine 2020 5 Year Old - 61% - £54.95

Dailuaine is a distillery of solidity, reliability and power, each of which are qualities embodied by Taurus.

The whisky is rich and layered, with sweet toffees and caramels complemented by roasted nuts, warm vanilla and slowly unfolding orchard fruit.

A whisky of quiet confidence and depth, like those born under the sign of the bull.

Gemini (21 May-20 June) Ardmore 2009 16 Year Old - 50.4% - £79.95

The dual nature of Gemini’s twins is at the heart of this whisky, lively but curious, versatile but surprising.

The best whiskies for Valentine’s Day - including 14 year old Highland malt and ‘hidden’ Speyside gem

Bright citrus and orchard fruit sit alongside malty biscuits and rich, fragrant smoke, contrasting and complementing each other. A dram for those who thrive on variety and exploration.

Pisces, Aries, Taurus and Gemini are available now exclusively from The Whisky Exchange in store and online.

The remaining whiskies will be released in the coming year allowing whisky lovers to enjoy their own bespoke star sign whisky, offering excellent gifting opportunities or providing a collectable series that will look stunning on a whisky shelf.
