Inside the £28k once-in-a-lifetime trip to 'iconic' Scottish whisky island

A “once in a lifetime” whisky experience on Islay is now available.

Bowmore, Islay’s oldest licensed distillery, has recently unveiled Rarity Defined, a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Scotland, showcasing an exceptionally rare single malt whisky – the Bowmore 1965.

Distilled during one of Bowmore’s most definitive decades in its 240-year history, alongside the iconic Black Bowmore, this 52-Year-Old whisky is, the team said, “laden with layers of flavour, natural rich colour and complexity absorbed from Oloroso sherry oak casks.”

The spirit has been matured in the distillery’s legendary No.1 Vaults, one of the world’s oldest maturation warehouses.
