Bowmore, Islay’s oldest licensed distillery, has recently unveiled Rarity Defined, a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Scotland, showcasing an exceptionally rare single malt whisky – the Bowmore 1965.
Distilled during one of Bowmore’s most definitive decades in its 240-year history, alongside the iconic Black Bowmore, this 52-Year-Old whisky is, the team said, “laden with layers of flavour, natural rich colour and complexity absorbed from Oloroso sherry oak casks.”
The spirit has been matured in the distillery’s legendary No.1 Vaults, one of the world’s oldest maturation warehouses.
Providing notes including fragrant fruits, sweet bees wax and intense dark chocolate, developing into burnt heather, this expression is presented in a striking hand-blown glass decanter, handcrafted with sterling silver.
This whisky, a bottle of which will be presented to guests on this experience, is at the heart of Rarity Defined, which is bookable now priced at £28,050.
The experience also includes a bespoke private dinner hosted by the makers behind Bowmore’s whisky, a behind-the-scenes tour of the distillery and access to additional rare expressions.
Priced at £28,050.00 for two guests, Rarity Defined also includes:
