As a thank you to Scottish Dads, Tennent’s Lager has launched a special edition Father’s Day pack.
The 12 pack is the latest in a series of special designs released by the brand and features a retro style design with the message ‘Here’s to you, Auld Yin!’
To help support the launch, Tennent’s has enlisted ex-Gleneagles pastry chef Albert Close, now of the Tennent’s Training Academy, to create a limited run of delicious Tennent’s Lager infused steak pies, complete with pastry Ts.
Pie lovers can visit Tennent’s Lager Twitter or Facebook on 16 June and share their funniest dad joke to be in with a chance of winning a pie and a 12 pack to share with their dad.
Delivered to their door in time for the big day, winners will get to enjoy a pie and a Tennent’s as their dad asks them ‘Two cows standing in a field, which one’s going on holiday? The one with the wee calf’… for the hundredth time.
The Father’s Day pack is the third in a series of popular speciality packs from Tennent’s, following the Valentine’s Day and retro packs and is available in select Tesco stores across Scotland.
The brand will introduce more speciality packs throughout the rest of the year.
Claire Arnott, Head of UK Brand Activation at Tennent’s said: “Father’s Day is the perfect opportunity to raise a pint and say thank you. Dads can be tricky to buy for, so we decided to launch our special Father’s Day pack to toast ‘yer Da’.
"What more would your dad want than to enjoy a cold bottle of Tennent’s Lager with his nearest and dearest on Father’s Day? A pie to go along with it of course.
“Albert is a genius of a chef and has created these amazing, limited edition Tennent’s Lager infused steak pies which taste amazing. There aren’t many though and it won’t be easy to get hold of one - punters will need to make our team really laugh, not just cringe, at their dad jokes!”
• Tell the Tennent’s team your best Dad jokes via @TennentsLager or the Tennent’s Lager Facebook page, and those worthy of a pie will receive a special delivery straight to their door.
